Methionine prices skyrocket in China on tight supply
Prices of methionine increased prominently during the week ending March 22.
Methionine availability tightened significantly as one foreign producer cut its supply to China. Traders jumped on the opportunity and lifted the prices by almost 100%.
Nonetheless, for liquid methionine, prices increased at a more moderate pace with supplies stable.
Liquid methionine price quotes were higher at RM35/kg.
