Russia wary on reduced prices on meat
Russian Agriculture Minister Alexei Gordeev is highly concerned over reduced prices on Russian meat because of growing meat imports.
The price on Russian pork has dropped by 30 percent to 40 percent, while production grew by 8.0 percent while poultry prices decreased by 15 percent.
Among possible reasons, Gordeev cites growing imports, primarily from European countries, the United States and Canada where producers are subsidized.
