Taiwan's MFIG buys 60,000 tonnes US corn in tender
Taiwan's Member Feed Industry Group (MFIG) has bought 60,000 tonnes of US-origin corn from trading house Agrex in a tender concluded Wednesday (Mar 22), a group official said.
While 14,515 tonnes of corn will be supplied at US$134.51 a tonne, cost and freight, 45,485 tonnes of corn will be supplied at a premium of 108.65 US cents a bushel above the Chicago Board of Trade July contract.
The corn will arrive in Taiwan May 6-20 if it's shipped from the US Gulf or May 21-June 4 if it's shipped from the Pacific Northwest.
