Taiwan's MFIG buys 56,000 tonnes of US corn from Cargill
Taiwan's Members Feed Industry Group (MFIG) bought 56,000 tonnes of US No. 2 yellow corn from trading house Cargill in a tender concluded Tuesday, a Taipei-based trader said.
MFIG bought one 15,405-tonne cargo of US corn at $151.09 a tonne and the remaining 40,595 tonnes at 162.78 US cents a bushel over the Chicago Board of Trade's July contract, the trader said.
Both prices are after cost and freight. The cargo is to be shipped either April 28 to May 12 from the US Gulf, or May 13-27 from the Pacific Northwest, the trader said.
