Agri Beef Co. has expanded its beef plant in Toppenish, Washington, to include a grind operation.

The expansion will allow Agri Beef to grind its own retail ground beef rolls, bulk ground beef rolls and bulk ground beef patties, while the Northwest location of the combined facility will ensure shorter lead times and fresher product, company officials said in a news release.

Agri Beef will produce its ground beef products under its existing premium brands Snake River Farms, Double R Ranch and St. Helens.

The company notes that its grind is 100% ground beef and excludes fillers such as lean finely textured beef.
