UAE buys Argentinean wheat, barley, corn
European traders said on Wednesday (Mar 21) that a flour mill in the United Arab Emirates has bought from Argentina 30,000 tonnes of milling wheat, 20,000 tonnes of barley and 20,000 tonnes of corn.
A tender for the same volume had closed on Monday. Prices were unavailable.
"Argentina was most competitive in terms of price and availability," one trader said.
South American grains have recorded a series of sales recently to Middle Eastern customers including Algeria.
