Vietnam's seafood exports to Japan may be hurt by earthquake, tsunami

 

 

Japan is Vietnam's fourth biggest trade partner; however, the earthquake and tsunami may hurt Vietnamese exports to the country.

 

A financial analyst has selected 10 vulnerable Vietnamese exports by the horrible natural disaster that includes seafood.

 

Seafood exports to Japan is valued at US$105.9 million between January and February, accounting for 15.3% of the country's total seafood exports.

 

Vietnam earned US$7.72 billion from exports to Japan in 2010, soaring 22.82% on-year, accounting for 10.7% of the country's total export revenues. It aims to raise export revenues to Japan by 18% from a year earlier.
