Methionine prices on weak trends in China
Prices of methionine fell further during the week ending March 20.
Domestic demand remained sluggish while feed millers held back purchases with livestock markets staying weak. Methionine producers continued to cut prices to promote sales while export demands stayed slow as well.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine slid to RMB29.10-29.50/kg.
Methionine prices are expected to fall further with demands poor and supplies in excess.
