DuPont to open US$20M biotech plant in India
 

 

DuPont will open its first non-US US$20-million biotechnology research centre in Hyderabad, India as part of its US$100 million reinvestment plan which is focused on global food production and animal feed.

 

DuPont currently has 20 crop genetics scientists working at facilities leased near the site of the Hyderabad centre and expects to have 100 scientists by the end of 2007. When completed, the new centre will hold over 300 scientists and other workers.

 

The company currently has major plant biotechnology research centres in Delaware, California and Iowa.
