Danish farmers get good profits from organic pork
The rise in demand for organic pork in Europe has resulted in high profits for Danish pig farmers.
Danish slaughterhouse company Friland has raised the price it pays for organic pork to the highest level ever, and the most profitable farmers can make a DKr 5 (US$0.89, EUR 0.67) profit per kilo of pork.
Friland's MD Karsten Deibjerg says there are no signs of slowing-down of the boom in organic pork.
