Traders continue to slash lysine prices in China
Lysine prices dipped further during the week ending March 19.
Several producers halted price releases as demand remained weak but traders continued to slash prices in attempts to clear stocks.
For imported 98.5-percent lysine, transacted prices were lower in the range of RMB9.40-9.70/kg.
Lysine demand is unlikely to recover in the near term as hog market is expected to stay weak while soymeal prices continue to move lower.
