In January, Belarus' dairy sales to Russia soared, tripling export volumes of skimmed milk powder (SMP) to its eastern neighbour, while also significantly increasing both butter and UHT milk sales.

Cheese sales were also up a third on the same month a year ago and there was a similar rise in whey exports.
