Russia's poultry meat output is expected to rise by more than 7% this year than in 2011 while per-capita consumption may reach 30 kilogrammes by 2020, up from 24.6 kilogrammes last year.

Russia's poultry output may rise 7.2% this year to 3.4 million tonnes this year, according to reports.

More than half of the country's leading producers are planning to operate at full capacity, said Galina Bobyleva, head of the country's Union of Poultry Producers.

Output was 3.17 million tonnes in 2011 and may reach 4.5 million tonnes in 2020, she said.
