Animalia Istanbul, VIV Turkey to welcome global livestock sectors
Animalia Istanbul and VIV Turkey 2009 will be held simultaneously this year at the Istanbul Exhibition Centre on June 25-27 to allow visitors from both the cattle and poultry industries to meet.
ANIMALIA ISTANBUL 2009 is the first and only trade fair in Turkey and the region dedicated to stock breeding and cattle-farming that has been awarded a UFI Approved Event certificate.
ANIMALIA ISTANBUL 2009 will bring together agricultural and trade associations, cooperatives and societies from all corners of Turkey, and showcase quality products and services of the cattle and dairy industries.
As with previous years, there will be seminars, panels and debates organised to discuss the most pressing concerns of the industry. Producers can attend presentations on techniques and technology specifically applicable to their activities.
Last year, the event was held on 3,900 square metres of exhibition space with 145 companies exhibiting, of whom, 117 were local and 28 from overseas. The fair was visited by 6,107 visitors coming from 32 different countries worldwide.
Also carrying the UFI Approved Event certificate, the biennial VIV TURKEY 2009 is the most important poultry fair in the region, bringing together the industry's professionals to broker deals and forge links thereby opening up new markets and business opportunities.
VIV TURKEY 2009's primary goals are to aid in the development of the Turkish poultry industry both in quality and productivity, and to stimulate trade of Turkish and overseas companies.
VIV Turkey 2009 will emphasise the concept of "Meat health and safety from feed through to the consumer", to focus on quality and health security in the poultry meat industry starting with quality poultry feeds and techniques.
This year's fair will highlight the control of animal health and welfare; optimising production, feeds and overheads; and meeting the food safety concerns of the consumers.
The event will also hold seminars and conferences addressed by influential Turkish and overseas speakers.
