UK Defra confirms two new bluetongue cases
New cases of bluetongue were confirmed in Hertfordshire and Lincolnshire, according to the UK's Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
There are 110 areas affected by bluetongue said Defra.
So far this year, Defra has confirmed 46 cases of the disease. Seven animals are infected in the two new cases.
A 20-kilometre control zone is put in place around affected areas. Farmers within the protection zone cannot transport livestock beyond the zone boundaries.
