Thailand's Betagro to expand investment in Vietnam

Thai livestock feed manufacturer, Betagro, announced plans to build three meats processing plants in southern Vietnam at a total cost of US$10 million, according to the company's deputy general director Nopporn Vayuchote. The announcement came as another of the company's plant is still under construction in the same part of the country.

Investment in Vietnam comes as a part of the group's development strategy in South-east Asia, he said.

Vietnam has vast potential in human and natural resources similar to Thailand, according to Vayuchote, adding that the company would triple its current investment rate in Vietnam in the near future.

Betagro Group is one of Thailand's major integrated agricultural companies involved in the production of animal feed, livestock, animal health products and food products.
