China methionine sellers continue to slash prices
Prices of methionine dipped further during the week ending March 16.
Traders and distributors slashed priced in a bid to entice buyers while demand remained weak as H7N9 bird flu epidemic continued to impede the sales of broilers.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine slid to the range of RMB27.80-30/kg.
At current price levels, several traders who are suffering heavy losses will be reluctant to cut prices prominently.
