Global animal health and nutrition company, Alltech, has announced the appointment of Dr. David Morpeth as general manager of its office in Muntinlupa City, Philippines.

Dr. Morpeth holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Plant and Agricultural Botany from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom and a PhD in Seed Storage, Dormancy Break and Germination from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.

Prior to joining Alltech, Dr. Morpeth held several consultancy and sales management positions within the Asia-Pacific region. He has also worked at a number of British universities, including Writtle Agricultural College where he was employed as Higher Education Senior Lecturer in plant and agricultural sciences, molecular biology, IT, experimental design and data handling.

Dr. Morpeth has extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of crop management and has contributed significantly to the development and implementation of planting and harvesting strategies to maximise crop yields.

Alltech's vice president for Asia-Pacific Steve Bourne said,"I am pleased to welcome Dr. Morpeth to the Alltech Asia-Pacific team. He has many years of experience in the agri-feed industry and I look forward to working with him."
