Vietnam confirms bird flu in central Quang Nam province
Vietnamese officials recently raised the total localities affected with bird flu to nine, as Quang Nam confirms bird flu outbreak in the area.
Bird flu killed some in the flock of 300 ducks raised by a household in Thang Binh district from March 10-12.
The poultry specimens have been tested positive to bird flu virus.
Other localities in Vietnam hit with bird flu include Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Ha Nam, Tuyen Quang, Hanoi and Lao Cai in the northern region, Quang Tri, Quang Binh and and Soc Trang and Vinh Long in the south.
