Novus International names new Executive Director

Novus International, Inc. is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Scott C. Fleetwood as Executive Director, Markets and Products. Fleetwood will have overall responsibility for the marketing of the swine, poultry, ruminant, industrial and feed quality business units of Novus.

Fleetwood joins Novus from EMD Crop BioScience where he served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. At EMD, Fleetwood was responsible for sales, marketing, accounting, regulatory, customer service and production activities associated with inoculants for North America. He led the development of strategic alliances, negotiating agreements and trade-channel relationships.

''Scott brings an extensive background to Novus in agriculture related marketing and the bioscience behind our industry. He is a welcome addition to our team,'' stated Giovanni Gasperoni, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales.

Fleetwood has spent over 25 years in the agriculture industry with organizations including: EMD, American Cyanamid and Bayer. He has served roles in academia, sales, technical service, and marketing. Additionally, he has received several awards based on his expertise in agriculture. In 2002, Fleetwood was awarded the Bayer Leadership Award for activities associated with the reintroduction of Everest into the wheat market. In 2001, he was the recipient of American Soybean Association's, Agribusiness Person of the year. 

Fleetwood grew up in the Chesapeake Bay area and is a graduate from the University of Delaware. He also holds a Masters Degree from Louisiana State University and a doctorate from Texas A&M University.
