South Korea's CJ Corp To Buy 52,500 MT Soybeans
South Korean flour miller CJ Corp. is seeking offers Thursday to buy 52,500 metric tons of South American soybeans, a company official said.
The final amount could be 10% more from 52,500 tons, he said.
The seller will have the option of shipping the soybeans June 30, July 30 or Aug. 30 from Santos port, said the official.
March 9, CJ Corp. failed to buy 105,000 tons of Brazilian and U.S. No. 2 soybeans it sought in a tender as the offers were too high.
Jan. 30, CJ bought 44,000 metric tons of U.S. No. 2 soybeans from Cargill Inc. at 19.9 U.S. cents a bushel over the Chicago Board of Trade's May soybean contract, cost and freight.
The shipment dates are April 21-May 10 from the Pacific Northwest.
