Contracting feed demand, ample supply weaken China lysine market
 
 
Lysine prices dropped further during the week ending March 17.
 
Demand for animal feed contracted after Chinese New Year, showing no signs of recovering during the period in review. With competition strong amid ample supplies, lysine producers cut prices in efforts to entice buyers to stock inventories.
 
Price quotes of 65-percent lysine and 70-percent lysine were at RMB5/kg and RMB5.30-5.50/kg respectively.
