Ukrainian agricultural output index climbs 5%

Ukraine's agricultural output index in Jan-Feb 2011 increased by 5%, including in farm enterprises by 11.7%, whereas in households fell by 1.3%, as compared on-year, according to its State Statistics Service.

In the pattern of livestock and poultry sales, the share of farm enterprises of all types was 66.3% (in January-February 2010-69.8%), cattle-9.5% (10.7%), pigs-24% (19.2%).

Farm enterprises in the two months increased the volume of livestock and poultry breeding by 9.4%, including pigs by 19.3%, poultry by 8.1%, and cattle reduced by 5.3%.
