New Zealand's meat, dairy products manufacturing rise 25.8 percent in Q4
New Zealand's meat and dairy products manufacturing grew 25.8 percent in the fourth quarter of 2007, reported Statistics New Zealand.
This pushed the country's seasonally adjusted manufacturing sales to rise by NZ$1.5 billion in the said quarter, marking an 8.3-percent increase from Q3.
Disregarding the effect of price changes, the meat and dairy product industry also dominated the volume change with an increase of 9.1 percent. Manufacturing sales volume increased a total of 3.4 percent.
The manufacturing of other food products, and machinery and equipment manufacturing, which rose by over 8 percent each compared with Q3, are two other contributors to the growth of New Zealand's seasonally adjusted manufacturing sales.
Economists see these data as the final indicator for the fourth-quarter gross domestic product report.
