Ukraine's feed-corn exports fall in Feb
Ukraine exported 164,400 tonnes of feed corn in February, 37,700 tonnes less than in January; figures published Wednesday by the ProAgro market analyst shows.
ProAgro said the reason for the decline, apart from the falling world prices, was the fact that most high quality feed corn had been sold, and the remaining stocks weren't qualitatively suitable for export.
An earlier report by the state customs committee said Ukraine exported 523,120 tonnes of corn between the beginning of the current marketing year July 1 and Jan 12, including 183,600 tonnes in December.
ProAgro's forecast for the export of corn in the 2004-05 marketing year is 1.4 million tonnes.
