Turkey's January poultry output climbs 37%

Turkish poultry output increased 37.2% in January, reaching 134,592 tonnes, the country's statistical authority, TurkStat, said Monday (Mar 14).

According to TurkStat's poultry production statistics, egg production also increased 13.1% to 1.09 billion.

Number of processed chicken rose 33.3% to 77 million, TurkStat added.
