Kazakhstan exports five million tonnes grain

 

 

Kazakhstan has exported five million tonnes of grain in the current marketing year, Kazakhstan's Minister of Agriculture Akhylbek Kurishbayev.

 

As of the start of March, exports stand at five million tonnes. This figure is set to grow, the Minister said.

 

Grain harvest in 2010 totalled 12.2 million tonnes (net weight). In 2009, grain harvest made up 22.7 million tonnes (bunker weight).
