China's Changchun Haoyue to export beef to Middle East

China's Changchun Haoyue Halal Meat Co Ltd, a leading enterprise in the cattle industry based in Jilin Province, plans to explore the Middle East market.

The company has set up a branch in United Arab Emirates as the Middle East is a huge market for the cattle industry. Cong Lianbiao, chairman of Haoyue, hoped the Chinese government could offer subsidies to leading agricultural enterprises and encourage more farmers to develop and work in the livestock and poultry breeding industries.

Currently, Haoyue Group has a slaughtering capacity of 700,000 heads of cattle and it processes more than 100,000 tonnes of Islamic food annually. With its products being exported to 23 countries and regions, the Group's export amount accounts for half of China's total beef exports for six consecutive years.

Haoyue is also China's largest cattle processing enterprise and the country's largest high-quality beef exporting base.
