Taiwan's MFIG buys 60,000 tonnes of US corn in tender

Taiwan's Members Feed Industry Group (MFIG) has purchased 60,000 tonnes of US corn from trading house Marubeni in a tender concluded Wednesday (Mar 14), said an official with the group.

Marubeni will supply 25,000 tonnes at US$219.83/tonne, while the remaining 35,000 tonnes will be sold at a premium of 155.5 US cents a bushel to the Chicago Board of Trade's July contract.

The entire shipment is expected to reach Taiwan between April 13-27.
