Pioneer Hi-Bred to set up research unit in Hungary

 

 

US seed company Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc, will set up a research centre in Hungary at a cost of 500 million forints (US$2.6 million), business daily Napi Gazdasag says Wednesday (Mar 14).

 

The unit will be one of the most advanced sunflower and corn improvement centres in the world and will play key role in strengthening Pioneer's Hungarian, European and global leading position in hybrid corn and sunflower sowing-seed improvement, Pioneer's Eastern-European director Gyula Kovacs said.

 

Pioneer Hi-Bred is a subsidiary of DuPont Co.
