Global Bio-chem's new L-methionine facility set to commence trial production in 2007
Global Bio-chem, one of the largest lysine producers in China, has announced its plans to produce L-methionine using biological fermentation technology. With an annual capacity of 100,000 tonnes, the new facility is scheduled to commence trial production in 2007.
Global Bio-chem said in the announcement not only would the L-methionine plant fill the current void in feed-grade methionine production in China, the company would also be the first in the world to make use of the biological fermentation technique to produce feed-grade methionine.
