No new cases of bird flu in Vietnam

The Veterinary Department in Vietnam announced on Mar. 14 that no new bird flu outbreaks has been reported by 23 out of the 35 bird flu-infected provinces and cities across the country, for at least 21 consecutive days.

These localities include the provinces of Bac Ninh, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang, Phu Tho, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Lam Dong, Tay Ninh, Binh Duong, Kien Giang, Soc Trang, Ca Mau, Ninh Thuan, Dong Nai and Tien Giang, Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.

March 13 was the first day without any new outbreak of the bird flu since the recurrence of the epidemic.
