Vietnam's Quang Nam reports unidentified cause for recent poultry deaths
Around 3,500 poultry in Vietnam's central Quang Nam province died of unidentified cause.
The affected fowls were raised by three households in Dien Ban district over the past three days, Saigon Liberation reported on Thursday.
Meanwhile, bird flu has hit eight localities across the country, including Quang Ninh, Tuyen Quang, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Ha Nam and Hanoi in the northern region, central Quang Tri province, and southern Vinh Long province, the Department of Animal Health disclosed.
Bird flu outbreaks in Vietnam were first detected in December 2003 and have killed and led to the forced culling of dozens of millions of fowls in the country.
