Terrena to acquire Unicopa's poultry capacity
 

French company Terrena is to acquire most of Unicopa's poultry processing capacity.

The acquisition will allow Terrena to become France's second largest poultry producer, right behind the Doux Group. The move is part of a strategic agreement between the two companies.

Terrena is also working with Unicopa subsidiary Eolys to set up a joint-operated buying group for shared agricultural procurement needs.

Terrena and Unicopa are French co-operative companies. Unicopa specialises in the production of poultry, chilled meats, dairy products and animal feed, and 30 percent of its business are in the export markets.
