China exports frozen chicken again
Malaysia has approved frozen chicken imports from two Shandong-based poultry processors, Fengxiang Group and Jinmei Foods, according to China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
This marked the first of frozen chicken exports allowed from China since early 2004, when over 40 countries suspended Chinese poultry imports due to bird flu.
Malaysian inspectors had visited several Chinese poultry integrators in late-2006 to ensure that the products were free from bird flu.
