Brazilian beef exports seen to increase
 

Brazilian exports of beef are expected to increase 20 percent this year if compared with 2006, according to the meat exports association Abiec (Associacao Brasileira da Industria Exportadora de Carne Bovina).

In terms of volume, exports will register a growth of 10 percent to 12 percent. Exports of beef increased 68.76 percent in January - February 2007, totalling US$351.042 million. Considering volume, exports increased 51.71 percent from January to February 2007 reaching 218,784 metric tonnes.
