Global Grains Asia: Asia-Pacific's first global grain dialogue
Global Grains Asia is coming to Asia for the first time on March 13-15, 2012 at Singapore's Shangri-La Hotel, a perfect geographical meeting place where East and West can explore emerging issues related to the international feed grain and oilseeds industry.
Formerly known as World Grains Trade, this edition of Global Grains Asia will attract the interest and support of Asia-Pacific regional feed industry stakeholders. These include professional traders, crop importers, feed producers and end-consumers from the region's livestock and meat processing sectors.
A prominent annual industry event, Global Grain Geneva a successful premier trading conference with more than 900 delegates from 50 countries. It became a prime focus for leading trade companies, producers, traders and consumers from grain, oilseeds, soft commodities and energy markets from the Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern and African markets.
The Asian edition held in Singapore addresses concerns unique to the Pacific Rim market, which is growing faster than any other part of the world. With a majority of world feed crop flows being diverted to the Far East from their usual Americas to Europe flow, East Asia now plays a dominating role in the feed grain trade, making Global Grains's Asian edition more relevant than ever.
Bridging Asia-Pacific grain and oilseeds trade professionals, Global Grain Asia provides an excellent platform for international trade experts to share their industry expertise in key market developments. These include the effect of the Asian demand on the international grains and oilseeds markets, the nature of dietary changes in the Asian consumption and their impact on the grains and oilseeds industry, logistical issues surrounding the shipments of feed grains into the Asia-Pacific region, supply chain risk management, cross-commodity convergence, and grains and oilseeds investment capital flows.
As the top feed grain importing region in the world, Global Grain Asia's focal point will be on the consumer/ demand side of the trade. Asia's demand for grains and the current low prices for Black Sea crops present interesting opportunities for international traders.
In one of the topics, "Grain movements in containers from Black Sea into Asian markets", delegates can gain insights about the future prospects of increasing trade flow in light of Asia's grain appetite and the Black Sea's advantageous wheat and corn prices.
A collaboration project with Global Commodities Group and the Centre for Management Technology, the event has already attracted seven major sponsors. Take steps to ensure your participation in this leading Asian agribusiness event!
