Iran, Turkey agree to promote agricultural cooperation
 

 

Iran and Turkey agreed Sunday (March 11) on promotion of agricultural cooperation between two countries, the official IRNA news agency reported.

 

Iranian Minister of Agriculture Jihad Mohammad-Reza Eskandari and visiting Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Mehmet Mehdi Eker reached the agreement in a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed by them.

 

The document underlines expansion of mutual cooperation including protection of plants, animal husbandry, healthy environment for animals, investments in agricultural sectors, management for control of drought and transfer of technological know-how in the sector.

 

During the signing ceremony, both ministers expressed hope that the MOU would lead to further expansion of executive cooperation in the agricultural sector.
