China February soybean imports at 1.18 million tonnes
China's soybean imports in February totalled 1.18 million tonnes, preliminary data provided Monday by the General Administration of Customs showed.
In the January to February period, soybean imports rose 29 percent on-year to 3.61 million tonnes.
The country also exported 770,000 tonnes of corn in February. Exports totalled 1.77 million tonnes from January to February, up 25 percent on-year.
The customs department did not provide on-year changes for February alone.
China is the world's biggest importer of soybeans and gets most of its supplies from the US, Brazil and Argentina, the world's leading soybean producers.
