Marine Harvest's 2013 salmon production may drop 11%

Due to cash flow measures taken in 2011-12 and Amoebic Gill Disease (AGD) problems in Scotland and Ireland, Marine Harvest has estimated that its total salmon production will be down 11% in 2013.

Following good growth of harvest volumes last year, Marine Harvest's Scottish farms are the only ones expected to see a growth in volume (4%).

For the other farms of Marine Harvest, volumes are expected to be down; 20% in Canada, 15% in Chile and 10% in Norway.
