Cooper Farms expands slicing capacity
Cooper Farms, a poultry and pork producer in Ohio, has announced that it is expanding capacity in its slicing operations by 50%.
In the first phase of construction, due to be completed in June, the company will add 6,000 square feet to its cooked meats plant. A second phase that will add even more slicing capacity is due to be completed in the fall, the company said. In total, Cooper Farms will add 50,000 square feet to its facility.
The new construction will have clean room slicing capabilities, and will essentially operate as stand-alone plant to provide the most sanitary conditions and highest quality deli products.
Cooper Farms produces a variety of products, including turkey, chicken and pork, and also table eggs, feed and other products.
