Jordan confirms 55,000 tonnes hard wheat purchase at tender
Jordan's Minstry of Trade and Industry said Thursday that it bought a total of 55,000 tonnes of optional hard wheat at $178.85 per tonnes on a cost and freight basis for second half of April shipment.
The wheat was purchased from Glencore, senior ministry importer Muhaned Gesh said.
No other wheat was bought at the tender, he said.
Jordan had tendered for a total of 100,000 tonnes of US and optional origin hard wheat for April shipment.
Jordan was seeking a 50,000-tonnes cargo for first half of April shipment and a 50,000-tonnes cargo for second half April shipment.
