Methionine prices fall 9% over four weeks in China
 
 
Prices of methionine moved lower during the week ending March 9.
 
Sluggish poultry feed demand, in conjunction with the imminent rise in output, exerted pressure on methionine market. Prices of methionine have reduced 9% over the past four weeks.
 
Liquid methionine* quotes in the general market were lower at RMB22.50-23/kg.
 
Slack demand, coupled with ample supply, will continue to keep China methionine market weak.
