CP Foods To Open New Chicken Processing Plant in Thailand
Leading Thai poultry firm Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) intends to open a new chicken processing plant in Nakhon Ratchasima by the middle of the year to meat rising export demand for cooked chicken.
The plant would increase the capacity of heat-treated chicken another 80,000 tonnes a year from the current 47,000 tonnes. This has already been included in the valuation. AVOID is maintained on CPF since the bird flu outbreak will still impact domestic consumer consumption.
