Germany's 2012 wheat output to rise 6.3%

Germany's 2012 wheat crops may increase 6.3% to 24.2 million tonnes from 22.7 million tonnes in 2011, the first harvest forecast by the German Farm Cooperatives Association showed.

Germany's 2012 winter rapeseed crop will to rise 25.6% to 4.8 million tonnes from 3.8 million tonnes in 2011, the cooperatives forecast.

Germany's 2011 wheat and rapeseed crops had both suffered the double blow of a spring time drought and repeated harvest time rain.
