Swedish meat imports gaining domestic market share
Swedish meat imports have been growing steadily since Sweden's entry into the EU in 2005.
In 2011, imported beef accounted for 51.2% of total beef consumption, imported pork for 35.5% of pork consumption and imported poultry for 39% of poultry consumption.
Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands and Ireland are the countries where most meat are imported from.
