Origin Agritech forms new pesticide unit

Hybrid and GM crop seeds supplier Origin Agritech Ltd has formed a pesticide business unit for premium branded chemical products.

The company said it expects a premium branded glyphosate product to be marketed immediately in the domestic agricultural market for the 2010 selling season.

The new products will be marketed and distributed through Origin's existing agricultural network, it said.
