Bunge Vietnam soy plant construction on schedule

Bunge is on schedule building a US$100 million integrated soy processing plant on 10 hectares in the Tan Thanh district, which is southeast of Ho Chi Minh City.

The site is adjacent to the Phu My Port in which Bunge shares ownership.
 

The rapidly developing area houses significant feedmilling and oil refining operations that form the foundation of the plant's prospective customer base.

 
The plant's location and its timing are optimal, said Horst Guenther, Bunge Asia's Commercial Director for Southeast Asia Distribution.

Guenther said they are striving to configure an effective oil distribution strategy and further develop their remote meal distribution network in the North, Central and Mekong Delta regions so that the plant will run full out from the first day it starts.
