Taiwan's MFIG buys 60,000 tonnes US corn from Cargill
Taiwan's Members Feed Industry Group bought 60,000 tonnes of US No. 2 yellow corn from trading house Cargill in a tender concluded Tuesday, a Taipei-based trader said.
MFIG bought one 18,870-tonnes cargo of corn at $147.80 a tonnes and 41,130 tonnes at 163.44 US cents per bushel over the Chicago Board of Trade May contract, the trader said.
Both prices are after cost and freight. The cargo is to be shipped either between April 13-27 from the US Gulf or between April 28-May 12 from the Pacific Northwest, the trader said.
