DSM announces management changes

Royal DSM N.V., the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company headquartered in the Netherlands, has announced some management changes.

Ben van Kooten, at present Business Group Director DSM Resins, will retire after more than 35 years of career at DSM.

He will be succeeded by Dimitri de Vreeze, at present Business Unit Director DSM NeoResins+. In this role he will report to Nico Gerardu, Member of the DSM Managing Board. Dimitri de Vreeze will work together with Ben van Kooten through a transition period and will assume responsibility for DSM Resins at the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2010.

Steve Hartig, at present President DSM Biomedical, will succeed Dimitri de Vreeze as Business Unit Director DSM NeoResins+. In this role he will report to Dimitri de Vreeze. As announced earlier, Steve Hartig will be succeeded as President DSM Biomedical by Christophe Dardel, effective May 15, 2010.
